To be honest with you with all the attention around Amazon affiliates we’ve lost sight of some basic principles. You know the reason everyone is on the bandwagon is because they convert easily – and the reason they convert is because:
1. Your visitors are already in buying mode and
2. If someone doesn’t buy the product you’ve sent them to Amazon for and they buy something else – you get commission on that.

Thats all great – but the percentage you get on each sale is tiny. Lets face you have to sell big stuff to get chunky commissions and not so many people by their 50 inch LCD TV from Amazon do they?

On the other hand Clickbank products sometimes get a bad rep – because there is some rubbish there – but there are also some gems. Real evergreen products that sell day after day. Finding these is really about checking commission and gravity – over 20 is converting – and a commission at around 70% is attractive – so combining those factors is the trick – and also ensure the whole offer is credible. You know the common sense gut check.

This mistake many people make is choosing one product and then building an affiliate site around it. Its a lot better to build out a multi niche or category site and focus on getting traffic to that instead.

1) Market research: It queries the Clickbank marketplace for products and reports back commissions and gravity.

2) AutoPosting: You then choose a selection of products and it places these as ads under your posts.

The really cool factor – is you can do this on a category basis – and it will apply the ads across the whole category. This means you don’t have to go through editing posts – it will just just retro apply it. So you can use it on older blogs too.

I think this is a great way to implement CB ads quickly and effectively allowing you to focus on traffic alone – and the rest will come.
