Conversion Mystery Trick!
I recently tested how to up conversions on a several sites with just a few very simple tweaks. I found that two factors made all the difference– INTERACTIVITY and MYSTERY! People just naturally want to be curious and take action!
Here’s what really sent my conversions through the roof…
I used mystery polls…
People are curious enough to click multiple times just to see what is behind doors number 1, 2 and 3. The more engaged my readers were the better my conversions became.
Some pages conversions were up by as much as 50%. What was even more surprising was that the results were across the board: blogs, web 2.0, social media, it did not matter. Almost every page improved, REGARDLESS of where it was published!
Advanced Conversions Trick!
Finding one strategy that converts well, like the one above is great, BUT it will not work across all your pages…
People become blind to the same strategy when you overuse it. Just like ad blindness, your conversions will drop off SHARPLY if you use the same strategy too often.
What happens is your readers are no longer engaged and your conversions tank.
You have to find MULTIPLE ways to get high conversions! Not just polls, but most interactivity works well because your visitors are ACTIVELY engaged. Think social media…every visitor is doing something, every visit!
